What is Touch Screen ?
Touchscreen is an electronic visual display(s) that can be controlled through simple or multi-touch gestures by fingers or stylus pen . Touchscreen enables the user to interact directly with what is displayed instead of using a mouse , touchpad or other forms of devices.
Touchscreens are commonly used in devices such as tablet computers , appliances, navigation devices, medical instruments and very popular for any industrial equipment and devices.
Touchscreen consists of top Top film layer and bottom ITO film or glass layer separated by an insulation spacers . Both ITO film and glass have a very thin conductive and metallic ITO layer coated on the PET film or glass . When user touches the screen , the controller interprets the response between the two layers and determine the coordinates and communicate the information to the host computer.
